The validation properties refer to the criteria of deciding whether an answer is valid or not. There are two criteria:
Answer required: the respondent cannot skip this question. If the respondent does not answer the question, he gets the information that an answer is required in order to consider the survey valid.
Numeric: the answer from a respondent can only be numeric.
Range: if Numeric is selected, a range can be specified (minimum and maximum value).
